Our Story

Pullman Industries

Based in the central highlands of Kenya, Thika the capital city of Avocado fruits sits a social enterprise with a vertical agenda of integrating small holder farmers into the international value chains for fresh fruits, culinary and cosmetic avocado oils.

 Post harvest loses

While Kenya has leapfrogged to the 6th largest producer of avocados only 10% of the total produce of (550,000tons 2021) found its way to the international market..

Small holder farmers account for 80% of the produce finding themselves unable to meet the high export standards set by the demanding international markets.

Pullman industries intends to bridge this gap by uptake of all the small holder may produce to link to the markets as

fresh fruits – crude oil – refined – extra virgin avocado oil – Organic earth with Afrocado being our brand flagship.

Social impact

Responsible sustainable sourcing with the a typical small holder averaging 5-15 trees our daily requirement will impact upwards of 1500 farmers daily who’s produce will be bought through fare trade, paid for in time and extension agricultural services extended to the farmers for social enterprise as a whole and improved economic earnings devoid of the middle man.

Sustainability

WEHMIS our anchor partner in transformational change has committed to manage youth and women-led enterprises who will engage in supplementary production of value addition products ranging from fertilizers, animal feed, briquets and tree nurseries all which are by products of an avocado cold press process that sits well with our mission of an Organic Earth….
